St Clare’s SVP Conference is part of the Chester & Ellesmere Port SVP District and operates from St Clare’s Church, Downsfield Road in the Lache

We provide help with befriending; cost of living problems and Holidays in our Holiday Home in North Wales.
Structure of the Organisation
The family tree below shows the way the organisation is laid out. Individual conferences are found in Catholic Church Parishes. These report to a District and the District reports to the Central Council. The final stage is the central councils’ report to national offices. St Clare’s is part of the Chester & Ellesmere Port District, which has 5 conferences and about 50 SVP members. The Chester & Ellesmere Port District is one of 7 Districts within the Shrewsbury Central Council with a total of 500 SVP members. Nationally in March 2026 there were 9098 SVP Members in 862 conferences. Members tend to be retired with only 1683 aged between 41 & 60. 585 members joined the SVP between April 2025 & March 2026.
